Job Scope:

 

As a Mechanical Estimator, you will collaborate seamlessly with our project management, estimating team and sales departments to estimate mechanical projects accurately. The ideal candidate will exhibit proficiency in utilizing estimating software, such as Accubid, and demonstrate advanced skills in Microsoft Excel. Exceptional analytical abilities and a solid commitment to customer service are essential for success in this role.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Accurately estimate mechanical projects while ensuring profitability and adherence to industry standards.

  • Collaborate with sales and internal teams to determine the most effective bid strategy.

  • File and maintain all documents related to quotations in appropriate software.

  • Process project submittal requests promptly, ensuring completion within 24 hours.

  • Review post-bid approvals for all assigned projects.

  • Estimate changes for addendums on projects and ensure accurate documentation.

  • Stay updated on current market conditions and innovations that could enhance productivity.

  • Provide insights and recommendations based on market trends.

  • Consult with other departments' clients, vendors, foremen, and personnel to formulate accurate estimates and resolve potential issues.

  • Ensure effective communication with all stakeholders involved in the estimation process.

  • Provide comprehensive project turnovers to management, facilitating a smooth transition from estimation to project execution.

  • Utilize Accubid software efficiently, focusing on enhancing the accuracy and efficiency of the estimation process.

Qualifications

 

Requirements:

 

  • High school diploma minimum; degree in a related field preferred.

  • Minimum of two years of related experience and training, or equivalent combination.

  • Experience working with ACCUBID is preferred

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel at an intermediate level.

  • Demonstrated expertise in take-off estimator planning.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders

  • Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining organizational focus.

  • Must be able to pass a background screening.
