Butch Begovich hails from Stillwater, MN, where he grew up as the middle of nine children. Butch received degrees in Theater Arts and Corporate Communications from Simpson College in Indianola, IA, and holds a Master’s degree in Hospitality Management from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Prior to working for Carnival Cruise Lines, Butch was an event coordinator for Glimmerglass Opera in Cooperstown, NY, and coordinator of Education and Arts Outreach programs for Appel Farm Arts and Music Center in Southern New Jersey.

Butch began his career at Carnival Cruise Lines in 2004 as a member of the entertainment team, was promoted to assistant cruise director in 2006 and cruise director in 2007. Butch has been a part of the inaugural teams of the Carnival Liberty (2005), the Carnival Freedom (2006) and, most recently, the Carnival Breeze (2012). Butch is the original host and member of the development team for Carnival's hit live action game show experience, "Hasbro, the Game Show," and has been proud to represent Carnival Cruise Lines for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital events. Butch resides in Miami, FL.
