Part-time position (up to 19.5 hours per week)

This part-time role assists in the technical hardware and the software support for AV equipment and systems used by the college for instructional and administration needs at our multiple campuses. This position will assist with the maintenance and installation of Audio-Visual and classroom automation systems, multi-media systems, video systems, microcomputers, related network peripherals, video conferencing systems, presentation systems, digital signage, and any other equipment or services assigned to the care of AV services. As the assistant, they will help to maintain inventories, perform preventative maintenance on AV equipment, along with helping set-up for special events.

The incumbent is expected to work during evening and night classes through the Fall & Spring semesters (generally 3:30pm-until the end of evening classes) and will be requested to be present on-site with the instructor. The college's multi-campus room includes three locations (Newtown, Bristol, and Perkasie).

Hourly Rate: $23.6851 - $25.3431 (commensurate with experience)

Pre-placement Physical is Required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general equivalency and 3 years work experience or Associate degree

  • Familiarity with various teleconference methods (LifeSize, BlueJeans, Skype, Zoom, etc.)

  • Mechanical aptitude and experience with physical installations (e.g. ceiling mounting projectors, flat panel displays, other audio/visual equipment)

  • Professional work ethic and communication skills

  • Availability to work off-hours (5pm-9pm)

Preferred Qualification:

  • Preference given to those with familiarity using Global Viewer Enterprise.

  • Familiarity with hardware & computer based video conferencing.
