The Director is the administrator of the IT Academy which includes the Cisco Networking Academy, Microsoft IT Academy, VUE Testing Center and Prometric Testing Center. Additional responsibilities include evaluation of all levels of IT programming and networking from basic applications to more sophisticated programs and equipment.

Ensures that Pearson/Vue Testing is properly staffed, and software is installed according to vendor guidelines. Responsible for developing a marketing plan with the goal of increased registrations in the IT Academy.

Responsibilities include development, scheduling and marketing of Continuing Education computer classes. Expand Bootcamp courses using our partners Training Camp and Global Knowledge. Build out new Cybersecurity courses for IT Professionals and introduced an entry level course for High School students. Setup and presented Annual Focus on Security Event and support annual Tech-Day Event.

Collaboration with the Executive Director of Continuing Education and Workforce Development to increase delivery and utilization of course offerings.

Develop online programs for IT Academy courses.

Primary Functions:

  • Duties include: recruiting, registration, payment, contracts, and overall management for the IT Academy. Activities include information sessions, email, and telephone correspondence. Responsibilities include advising students on their career objectives.

  • Staffing and scheduling: IT Academy, Continuing Education computer classes, and Pearson/VUE Testing Centers. Communicate with ITS and Academic departments to ensure a seamless learning environment for all students. Provide cutting edge technology training that is academically sound.

  • Provide a comprehensive non-credit IT program to provide cutting edge Technology training that is academically sound, current and affordable.

Secondary Functions:

  • Following up with student course inquiries, Developing databases tracking students in the IT Academy and Testing Centers. Coordinating training needs with students eligible for funding from Bucks County Office of Employment and Training (CareerLink): seek students for individual training in the IT Academy. Ensure all eligible programs are approved for state and government funding. Adhere to CareerLink requirements and guidelines.

Salary Range: $65,618 - 84,210 (commensurate with experience)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and minimum 4 years work experience or Master's degree.

  • Appropriate technical training on a variety of packages and systems.

  • A familiarity with and a thorough understanding of technologies such as Active Directory, Linux (Red Hat), Windows, and networking. A familiarity with Microsoft, Cisco and CompTIA certifications.

  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
