Overview

TRC Advanced Energy (TRC) is a nationally known energy efficiency consultancy. TRC collaborates with clients to develop and implement market transforming programs and initiatives that promote energy efficiency, renewable energy, and green building in multiple market sectors across the US and around the world. These initiatives reduce energy costs, improve the health and safety conditions of buildings, while also helping the environment by reducing greenhouse gas emissions. TRC acts nationally to address some of our country's most challenging problems: global climate change and energy independence.

TRC is seeking an experienced Associate Project Manager to engage with new construction stakeholders in working towards New Jersey's clean energy goals. The position works across industries including local governments, commercial and industrial contractors, vendors, and customers regarding the implementation of energy efficiency rebate and incentive program offerings.

This position will be based in the state of New Jersey.


Responsibilities

  • Strategic Team Contributor: Play a vital role in our team, leveraging a deep understanding of New Jersey's new construction and development nuances to contribute strategically.
  • Efficient Project Management: Demonstrate comprehensive project management skills, efficiently guiding initiatives from initial planning stages to successful project completion.
  • Proactive Problem Solver: Tackle challenges head-on with a proactive problem-solving mindset, ensuring timely and effective resolution in a dynamic work environment.
  • Innovative Energy Advocate: Introduce and champion innovative ideas, actively encouraging and facilitating participation in impactful energy efficiency programs.
  • Diverse Responsibilities Management: Assume diverse responsibilities, including engaging with various stakeholders, building strategic plans, and handling administrative tasks effectively.
  • Customer Engagement: Engage with new construction customers, developers, and contractors to identify and communicate energy savings opportunities through incentive and rebate program offerings.
  • Strategic Outreach and Networking: Develop and execute compelling outreach campaigns targeting various sectors and markets. Attend tradeshows, local meetings, and events, both virtually and in-person, to network and educate New Jersey businesses on the benefits of program participation. Aid in developing and executing a comprehensive outreach plan for the program's brand and message.
  • Market Analysis and Intelligence: Provide sector intelligence by analyzing trends and summarizing data within specified markets.
  • Customer Outreach Opportunity Identification: Identify outreach opportunities by understanding customer requirements and analyzing how the program can effectively reach its target audience.
  • CRM Database Management: Manage and track campaigns, opportunities, activities, and contacts in real time using the program's CRM database.
  • Project Forecasting: Work collaboratively with operations and project coordination staff to provide insights for accurate project forecasting and market intelligence reports.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in sustainability, construction management, business, marketing, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in outreach, sales, or another customer-facing role in the buildings or energy efficiency sector or a related field.
  • New Jersey residency required; must possess, or be willing and able to obtain prior to starting, a personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed).
  • Excellent public speaking and written communication skills.
  • Proven experience in developing and editing professional reports.
  • Basic knowledge of CRM database software.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and forecast assignments with moderate scope.

Highly Qualified Candidates will demonstrate:

  • Familiarity with stakeholders in New Jersey's new construction industry (e.g., builders, developers, architects, engineers, etc.).
  • Understanding of LEED, ENERGY STAR, and/or GRESB.
  • Bilingual speaking and translation skills.

Compensation: Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
