Job Description
SUMMARY


This Office Support Person serves as an administrative assistant for the District Attorney and First Assistant District Attorney. This individual is tasked with welcoming visitors to the Office and ensuring that employee access to the District Attorney and First Assistant District Attorney is conducted in an organized and efficient manner. He or she must maintain strict confidentiality at all times.

This person is also responsible for performing general administrative duties related to the support of the District Attorney and the First Assistant District Attorney, such as distributing incoming mail; answering telephone calls, taking messages or redirecting callers as necessary; preparing correspondence regarding legal and administrative matters; and maintaining and organizing business records, files, and personal contact information.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:

* Open, sort and process mail addressed to the District Attorney and First Assistant District Attorney. Make decisions as to appropriate action;
* Answer incoming telephone calls and maintain message logs;
* Perform general administrative duties, including typing, filing, word processing, and photocopying;
* Prepare correspondence regarding legal and administrative matters;
* Maintain and organize business records, files, and personal contact information;
* Schedule and manage daily appointments;
* Maintain appointment book and advise District Attorney and First Assistant District Attorney of daily commitments;
* Complete expense reports on behalf of District Attorney and First Assistant District Attorney;
* Administration of all search warrants and court orders signed by Court of Common Pleas judges, and record all filings required by law; * Prepare and distribute material to local, county, state and federal law enforcement personnel. * Receive and manage requests from the public for community outreach programs;
* Maintain files and records as required by office policy and procedure.

* High School diploma of GED equivalency certificate;
* Must maintain strict confidentiality;
