What success looks like in this role:

This critical position will focus on Global IT Category needs across Unisys, whether for Unisys internal and commercial requirements, including third-party content that is embedded in or bundled with Unisys products or solutions, or resold or used to provide services to Unisys global clients. You will manage one or more Tier 1 suppliers. In addition, you will support other existing and new supplier requests, run sourcing events, negotiate new agreements, maintain existing supplier relationships, and help the business manage costs and get the most out of supplier relationships. There is a significant need for experience in negotiating terms and conditions of S/I/P-aaS agreements, and the ability to draft contract language to help mitigate business and legal risks to Unisys business and align with business, legal, privacy, and security requirements. You will work with other members of the Global IT Category team to ensure alignment with global category strategies. This position requires strong business judgment and financial acumen, knowledge of the category, expert price and contract negotiation skills, time management, and communication skills to meet deadlines and timelines.

In this role you will:

  • Support Global Contract Labor Procurement needs supporting Unisys products, solutions, service provider, resale, and internal use requirements
  • Build and maintain relationships with key members of Unisys business units
  • Actively promote the use of existing suppliers, and lead sourcing events when existing suppliers don't match business requirements
  • Assist the business in reviewing 3rd party contract terms
  • Work with stakeholders to clarify and modify, as necessary, proposed use cases that drive sourcing and contract decisions
  • Negotiate appropriate, consistent operational and legal terms to satisfy business needs, including technical and financial fit
  • Interface with assigned suppliers as necessary to maintain a strong relationship and ensure continuity of all required agreements
  • Manage all phases of the Procurement lifecycle from sourcing strategy, RFP/RFI/RFx projects, business award, contract development and negotiation, supplier relationship and contract maintenance through contract expiration/termination
  • Serve as an escalation contact between the business and suppliers; lead the development/ negotiation of supplier improvement plans when necessary
  • Work with stakeholders to maximize contract compliance and avoid audit deficiencies and penalties
  • Support our Procurement colleagues with supplier escalations, contractual requirements, Contract Labor Procurement best practices, guidance and mentoring as needed
  • Contribute to the achievement of annual Procurement goals, including world class KPIs, savings targets, maintenance of the contract database, third party risk management, etc.
  • - All while maintaining and complying with Unisys code of ethics, corporate policies, and internal controls.
  • Minimal travel required for team meetings, specific negotiations, etc.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

  • 10+ years' experience in Contract Labor Procurement or a related field, including:
  • Working with Talent Acquisition on permanent hire positions.
  • Experience with Managed Service Provider (MSP) programs.
  • Contract experience with Fixed (SOW) as well as Time & Material (T&M) engagements.
  • Experience working with On-Demand Labor Platforms (contracting with Independent Contractors).
  • Experience with VMS systems.
  • 5+ years' experience in the development and negotiation of purchasing agreements including:
  • Service Provider rights or OEM terms.
  • Strong contract redlining skills and understanding of commercial and legal contract terms, including those related to permanent or contractor hires.
  • Strong risk analysis skills
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders in all relevant business units.
  • Ability to handle ambiguity, help stakeholders understand critical decision points, work quickly to assist the business in time-bound projects, and gracefully handle unanticipated business and supplier changes that require changes to procurement strategies.
  • Clear oral and written English communication skills.
  • Experience in supplier evaluation and RFP/RFI/RFx score-carding.
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of products (e.g. PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) and procurement tools and systems including Contract Lifecycle. Management systems, eSourcing tools, purchasing systems, etc., is preferred.
