We're a human network that reaches across the globe and works behind the scenes. We anticipate, lead, and believe that listening is where learning begins. In crisis and in celebration, we come together-lifting up our communities and striving to make an impact to move the world forward. If you're fueled by purpose, and powered by persistence, explore a career with us. Here, you'll discover the rigor it takes to make a difference and the fulfillment that comes with living the #NetworkLife.

What you'll be doing...

You'll be responsible for uncovering insights about how to improve and transform Verizon's customer experience, communications, and business decisions. The work you do will inspire us to bring the best solutions to consumers- because of your enhanced understanding of their needs. You'll design studies, gather primary and secondary research, manage our vendor partners, and ensure that we get the best market insights to drive our decision-making. By helping us understand and anticipate customer needs, you'll be shaping what's next for us.

The Customer Insights Senior Manager of Local & Segment Marketing role will support a newly formed division of the Verizon Consumer Group focused on marketing to our local regions throughout the US as well as to key growth segments: Latinos, African Americans, and Young Adults.

The ideal candidate will have first-hand experience working at a brand or partnering closely with a client that serves one or more of our key growth segments and/or has experience working at or with a brand with a regional marketing approach.

Responsibilities:

  • Being a trusted consultant for internal stakeholders to guide their decision-making and deliver insights pertinent to their areas of responsibility.

  • Partnering with leaders to understand key business issues.

  • Partnering with marketing and product teams on strategic marketing planning including identifying promotional opportunities and new ways of communicating with customers.

  • Being the champion of the customer and providing insight on "why" people do the things they do when interacting with Verizon and how to reconcile differences between customers' perceptions of the brand and how Verizon wants to be perceived.

  • Designing and shaping research designs to yield actionable insights including Quantitative Research, Qualitative Research, Concept Testing, Conjoint, Max Diff, Choice Models, Segmentation, Tracking, Forecasting, and Advanced Analytics.

  • Managing research agency partners and research projects from scoping to delivery.

  • Synthesizing information from various sources into meaningful insights.

  • Presenting actionable recommendations to leaders and influencing decisions across cross-functional teams.

What we're looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Latino or Multicultural consumer or market research experience.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Experience in localized or regional marketing or market research.

  • B2B Experience.

  • An advanced degree in Market Research, Social Sciences (eg. Psychology, Sociology, etc.), Business (eg. economics, MBA, etc.), or a certification in Market Research (UGA, etc.).

  • Experience at or working alongside a market research agency or related vendor.

  • Designed small and large-scale research projects involving primary and secondary data collection. Ideally, consumer and business research.

  • Analyzed data from multiple sources, and provided insights and recommendations tailored to different functions and levels.

  • Managed agency vendor relationships including scoping, budgeting, quality, and timeliness.

If Verizon and this role sound like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every "even better" qualification listed above.
