JOB DESCRIPTION

I. THE COMPANY:
Triton International Limited ("Triton") (www.trtn.com) is the world's largest lessor of intermodal freight containers and chassis, with approximately $12 billion in assets generating nearly $1.7 billion in annual revenue. Triton leases its fleet of containers to virtually all of the world's largest shipping lines under a variety of short-term and long-term leasing structures designed to help the shipping lines finance their growth improve their operating efficiency and better balance their global trade flows. Triton operates its business through 20 offices in 16 countries, and services its customers through a network of around 600 third party operated depot facilities spread across 66 countries.

II. FUNCTIONAL SUMMARY:
This position will be responsible for supporting Business Development activities and will work closely with the SVP, Business Development to identify and execute on opportunities to expand the global capabilities of Triton. Working in close partnership with the commercial teams around the world, they will support new projects from idea-stage to completion across a wide range of areas. This will include corporate strategy work, new business and product line assessments, financial modeling, research, and developing presentations to support identifying and executing strategic initiatives to drive Triton's continuous improvement.

Qualified candidates will have a strong track record of supporting transactions across a range of business development areas such as establishing new partnerships, completing bolt-on
acquisitions and managing product extensions.

III. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support the execution of all business development activities including:
    • Coordinating diligence efforts through cross-functional teams
    • Following up on all post-deal integration activities
  • Work with existing commercial teams to support the expansion of Triton's existing businesses including:
    • Developing roadmaps for global depot investment opportunities including potential partnerships and JV's
    • Scouting for potential targets for bolt-on acquisitions or product extensions and formulate recommendations to support outreach to targets
    • Identifying additional innovative technologies to create competitive advantage within the industry.
  • Identify and communicate ideas to improve and streamline processes
  • Identify and assess potential risks and devise appropriate risk mitigation strategies
  • Assist with the the preparation of high-quality materials and supporting documents to share with senior management in a clear and concise manner
  • Build financial models that include operational, financing, tax, valuation and other relevant aspects to support financial analysis
  • Develop a strong understanding of Triton's operating businesses, including ad-hoc analysis over certain business lines, products, or operational metrics
IV. JOB REQUIREMENTS:
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
  • Bachelor's degree, preference for Finance, Accounting, Business, or Applied Economics
  • 2-4 years of relevant work experience in company valuation, modelling services/ investment banking/ private equity/ infrastructure funds etc.
  • A strong interest in transportation, logistics, shipping, infrastructure and real assets.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
  • Ability to clearly articulate a situation, the relevant facts and considerations, and make well-reasoned recommendations.
  • A professional, positive attitude and capable of contributing to a dynamic and team-oriented culture
  • Proactive and self-driven, capable of working by themselves or as part of a larger team and with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving mindset, with high attention to detail
  • Experience in conducting research and due diligence
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills, including the ability to review and update financial models and prepare high quality presentations
  • Must be at a commutable distance (within 50 miles) to the Purchase office.
  • We follow a hybrid working schedule of 3 days in the office (Monday - Wednesday).

V. BENEFITS:
The expected base salary range for this role is from $80,000-$130,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, location and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
