Alight is Looking for a Licensed DC Customer Solutions Specialist

This role requires that qualified candidates must reside in the United States or Puerto Rico. Only applicants from these locations will be considered.

As part of an industry-leading team, you will help drive results for Alight Clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Wealth Customer Care group within Alight.

This role is responsible for handling inbound calls, and providing financial education around complex questions, investment and payment options available to plan participants, including offering guidance on appropriate tools and services. Guidance is primarily focused on qualified and non-qualified retirement plan benefits.

This is an ideal role for people who have a financial background and like to educate and support others with complex retirement decisions. Strong listening and communication skills are required, along with the ability to work independently, troubleshoot and research issues, and develop solutions. This position is best for people with astute knowledge of Defined Contribution and/or Defined Benefit plans, financial acumen, along with superior problem-solving skills.

This role will leverage your knowledge of the following:

  • Defined Contribution Plans- including working knowledge of general qualified plan requirements. You'll be expected to provide information and guidance around the effects of plan distributions, loans, investment choices and other specific plan rules.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills will be necessary, including the ability to work well interpersonally with your peers, supervisors, and customers.
  • Strong analytical skills to problem solving and ability to troubleshoot basic technical problems.
  • Must be detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy and personal accountability.
  • Ability to work in high pressure environment with seasonality high volume.
  • Teamwork will be needed to engage the energies of others on the team
  • Customer Service, and/or financial experience preferred.
  • Utilize conceptual thinking to identify patterns, apply concepts and clarify complex information
  • Demonstrate sustained confidence and resilience during challenging interactions
  • Actively listen to customers to understand both articulated and unarticulated needs
  • Ability to ask relevant probing questions to better assess customer needs
  • Use data to persuade and influence customers to objectively guide them

US Citizenship requirements- as this role supports services provided to the federal government and/or a federal government contractor, proof will be required to verify US citizenship status at time of hire.

Education/Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent years of industry experience.
  • Defined Contribution or Qualified Plan experience
  • FINRA Series 6 or 7 is required. Series 63/65/66 a plus.

Salary Pay Range

Minimum :

35,600 USD

Maximum :

56,600 USD
