Job Description

Torch Technologies is seeking a Blue Force Tracking (BFT) Senior Analystto join our team as a specialist for system testing, integration, components, and overall operations for BFT. This position supports the Aerial Communications and Mission Command Project Office within PEO Aviation's Aviation Mission Systems and Architecture Program Management Office.

Responsibilities:

This position requires a highly motivated individual with extensive knowledge of Joint Capabilities Release (JCR), Joint Battle Command-Platform (JBC-P) software, networks, and Mission Command products and how they interoperate with Army Aircraft Systems to assist with new firmware and software releases.

  • Responsible for complex integration, maintenance and troubleshooting with BFT-A systems on US Army AH-64D/E, CH-47F, UH-60L/M/V, numerous fixed wing platforms, and other aircraft platforms within the DoD.
  • Provide technical direction, interpretation, and recommendations.
  • Work with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels within the Army and PEO Aviation to ensure mission success.
  • Maintain/develop training materials and provide technical support for Field Service Representatives and Army personnel performing organic maintenance.
  • Assist with Site Surveys and New Material Introductory Briefings (NMIB) to unit leadership in advance of system fielding.
  • Work within the BFT team to develop, update and review drawings, Modification Work Orders, and Technical Manuals.
  • Serve as Senior technician for BFT-A.
  • Serve as COMSEC custodian for BFT-A.
  • As a specialist, provide technical oversight and mentorship of BFT Junior Technicians and other teammates.
  • Work directly with hardware and software vendors in identifying, testing, and recommending new technology and software for integration into the BFT-A architecture.
  • Support AMSA's risk management activities, to include: help assess and mitigate system security threats/risks throughout AMSA programs' product lifecycle; and perform continuous monitoring of compliance controls
  • Assists with Army Interoperability Certification (AIC) testing and Systems Readiness Directorate (SRD) reviews for airworthiness.
Job Requirements
  • 5-8 years of relevant hands-on technical experience
  • Must have experience with BFT on Army Aviation platforms.
  • Must have detailed knowledge on diagnosis and troubleshooting of Blue Force Tracking-Aviation system-of-systems operations in Army aircraft.
  • Must be experienced with Joint Capabilities Release (JCR), Joint Battle Command- Platform (JBC-P) software, networks, and Battle Command products.
  • Experience with Blue Force Tracking Aviation related systems, i.e. IDM, AMPS, EDMs, and multiple aircraft OFPs.
  • Experience with AIC testing as well as SRD airworthiness requirements desired.
