This vacancy is in the Desktop Design Group whose mission is to provide enhanced customer experience and great customer service around Thomson Reuters Markets premium desktop products. The group produces deliverables as part of pre-sales process and provides post sales support. The group is heavily involved in product development and release cycle through influencing and validating product requirements and contributing to QA efforts. Successful candidate will be contributing to QA efforts for Thomson Reuters Eikon product and provide deliverables to support competitive displacement activities at specific accounts. Following the launch of Eikon successful candidate will also be involved in user data migration efforts.

- Design, development and documentation of workbooks and associated deliverables using Thomson Reuters Markets premium desktop products to support pre-sales, competitive displacement, retention activities or to enhance broader user experience.
- Delivery of workbooks and associated project deliverables within forecast time-scales agreed with Thomson Reuters sales representatives and clients.
- Contribute to product development through channeling regional product requirements to product management organization, participate in the product release cycle, in particular in QA activities.
- Contribute to user data migration efforts as required.

Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial markets or in market data.
  • Advanced knowledge of Thomson Reuters premium desktop products, in particular 3000 Xtra. The knowledge must span data and functionality, including VBA.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (including VBA).
  • Good understanding of Windows O/S.
  • Familiarity with COM technology highly desirable.
  • Advanced knowledge of at least one of the financial markets.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Self starter and self learner, ambitious, with good time discipline.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with object oriented programming in C /C#
  • SFA, ISMA, ACI or similar certification desirable, but not essential.
